Pyrus communis 

• Produces large, russet-colored pears with a pineapple flavor, which ripen in late summer. Keep well and can be used for canning. 
• Requires 150 chill hours. 
• Can self-pollinate, but can also be planted with Flordahome or Hood Pear trees. 
• Reaches between 15-20 feet high and 12-15 feet wide at maturity.
