Pyrus communis

• These large, firm pear fruits are yellow-green in color with a red blush. Coarse, crisp, juicy--great for cooking or for winter storage. 
• Ripen in mid-fall. 
• Tree requires 350 chill hours.
• Trees can self-pollinate or pollinate with the Orient Pear. 
• Susceptible to blight 
• Can reach 15-20 feet tall, 12-15 feet wide at maturity.
