Malus domestica

• Crisp, sweet apples with thin yellow-orange skin, highlighted with pink to red stripes that deepen in color depending on the apple's maturity. Dense, yellow flesh has a mildly sweet flavor and aroma. These medium-sized fruits are great for fresh eating, baking, and freezing.
• Allow to ripen on the tree in August.
• Gala Apple trees reach a height and width of 15-20 feet at mature size.
• Requires 500 chill hours.
• Gala requires a pollinator such as Granny Smith, Red Delicious, Fuji, or Jonathan.
